Welcome back to class

Students of all class grades returned to the classroom today to continue instruction which has primarily been online since the start of the 2021/2022 Academic year. About two weeks ago a decision was made to have a phased reopening of school all in an effort to navigate and manage the ongoing COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Department of Education is delighted to welcome students, teachers, principals and staff back to school. A team of officials led by Parliamentary Secretary Hon Senator Dr. Pauline Antoine-Prospere in the absence of Minister Edward visited a few schools in the Castries basin to greet and welcome students. Chief Education Officer Cirus Cepal, Health and Safety Officer Ian Frederick and District Education Officer for District 2 Martha Foster formed part of the delegation and used the opportunity to also welcome staff and monitor the rolling out of the day.
