Special Education Unit

About Us

In Saint Lucia, the Special Education Unit (SEU) of the Department of Education is the focal point for providing support services to students who have special educational needs. The Unit was established in the year 2000, and was then housed at the Francis Compton (NIC) Building, Waterfront, Castries – the main headquarters of the Department of Education.

The Unit is now located along Hibiscus Crescent in San Souci, Castries, a short distance away from the original location. Our offices form part of the Student Support Services Unit, which occupies the ground floor of a light blue building behind the Water and Sewage Company Inc.  (WASCO), near the George F. L. Charles (Vigie) Airport.
