Educational Evaluation & Assessment Unit

The Educational Evaluation and Assessment Unit (EEAU) of the Ministry of Education is the department responsible for assessing the achievement of outcomes in the primary school’s core curriculum (Grades K – 6).  The Unit also administers International, regional and local exams namely:
  • CXC (January & June) private sitting
  • Caribbean Primary Exit Assessment (CPEA)
  • Minimum Standard Test (Grade 2 & 4)
  • Supplemental exam- students who were unable to sit the CPEA exams with valid proof and supporting documentation
  • migrating to the country
  • Form 2 & 3 placement examinations
The EEAU is also responsible for facilitating transfer of Secondary school students and preparation of CXC Statement of results at a cost of $15 EC dollars. We serve the public from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. daily.  

 

EEAU EXAMINANATION PERIODS:

MST EXAMINATION (GRADE 2 & 4):
May 28 – 29, 2024

CARIBBEAN PRIMARY EXIT EXAMINATION (CPEA):

May 15-16, 2024

CXC REGISTRATION PERIODS:

January registration is usually between September to October. We also conduct late registrations at an extra cost. This process last until examination commences. June registration usually commences at the end of October and last until December. Late registration continues uni stil examination commences.

Transfer & Placement of Students

These include the Common Entrance Exam and the Minimum Standards Exams in Grade 4 and 6.
