THE EDUCATION PLATFORM PROJECT WAS DEVELOPED SPECIFICALLY FOR THE MINISTRY OF EDUCATION.

The Ministry of Education recently hosted the opening ceremony for a series of workshops that will introduce a new Educational Platform to teachers.

The Educational Platform was developed specifically for the Ministry of Education and will provide online technical support to school administrators, teachers and students, via class presentations, student attendance, and managing and documenting report cards. Parents will also be able to monitor learning records and the performance of children thus promoting and providing more opportunity for inclusion and stakeholder engagement.

Taiwanese Ambassador to Saint Lucia H.E Peter Chen, Parliamentary Secretary Sen. Hon. Dr. Pauline Antoine-Prospere and Permanent Secretary Michelle Charles attended the opening ceremony, held on Aug. 19 at the National Skills Development Centre, welcoming the teachers and the new wave of ICT inclusion in the education sector.
The project will be rolled out at seven (7) pilot schools in the first instance with a goal to be implemented island-wide by early 2022. The Educational Platform Project is pioneered by the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Government of Saint Lucia.
